Frank Schell is an expert in strategic management: the formulation and execution of corporate strategy to achieve a sustained competitive advantage.  He is a business consultant, and former international banking senior executive with the First National Bank of Chicago.  He has substantial experience in business management, emerging markets finance, risk management, and international affairs. He continues to dedicate his efforts to bridging the gap between the public sector's mission-driven focus and the private sector's need for economic returns.
 
He is a go-to expert on India for U.S. companies seeking to invest in the country or conduct trade with it. He has long-standing ties to India and an effective network of Indian contacts in business and public policy.   Frank was engaged as a strategy consultant by Argonne National Laboratory to assist with a strategic plan in the energy sector, and later by Volta Energy Technologies, LLC, a private equity firm  conceived at Argonne National Laboratory. 
 
Frank was a Lecturer on South Asian affairs at the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago (2009-2018).  He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Stanford University.  He has authored numerous essays in various journals. He speaks German, Hindi-Urdu, French, and Portuguese.
